My Top 25 Adobe After Effects Shortcut Keys

I have been using Adobe After Effects for over ten years and to become an efficient user you need to make use of it’s keyboard shortcuts. Here are twenty-five keyboard shortcuts that I use every time I’m working in After Effects.

Increases or decreases the composition preview magnification : , (comma) or . (period)
Sets the composition preview magnification to 100% : / (on main keyboard)
Replaces footage in the timeline with new footage: option drag footage over layer in timeline
Scales footage in timeline to fit the composition window: Option+Command+f
Zooms the timeline in or out: – (hyphen) or = (equal sign)
Sets the in-point or the out-point of the work area in the timeline; b or n
Reveals all properties with keyframes on a selected layer in the timeline: u
Reveals all changed properties on a selected layer in the timeline: uu
Reveals the effects on a selected layer in the timeline: e
