I have a question about the shortcut keys for Clear All and Clear Text. I found on your website to use F1 and F2 but those are the keys I use for increasing and decreasing brightness of the monitor. Should I use another key in addition to F1 like the command or option key? Thank you for your help.

On a Mac you need to press the Command Key ⌘ + the Function Key (ie. F1, F2) to use these shortcuts.
